UK business breaks the US market then turns focus to launch at home

[Trusted by nearly 60,000 women around the world, MUTU System offers evidence-based exercises to improve pelvic and abdominal symptoms from ‘baby belly’ or diastasis recti to embarrassing leaks, painful sex or prolapse symptoms. The MUTU System programme is a Web App accessible via any smart phone, tablet or computer.]

Cornish mum of two Wendy Powell created the first MUTU System programme in 2010 after a decade of personal training experience.

Her own births and the experience of hundreds of women she’d worked with, made it clear that women were not being empowered with the guidance they needed. Refusing to accept that lack of self-confidence, pelvic floor weakness and a body they did not feel good in was ‘as good as it gets’ after having babies, Wendy set out to serve women better.

With no technical expertise, influential contacts or investment, she googled and experimented – learning coding, video editing, e-commerce, and website design. Over the next few years, the programme took shape and evolved, as Wendy blogged and slowly gained readers and medical endorsements from around the globe.

Media attention finally followed with reported Royal and celebrity fans, as well as CNN and Fox News in the USA. The American market flourished, emboldened by a US city tour of live masterclasses with Wendy, MUTU Pro™️ fitness instructor certification events and medical recommendations from specialist physiotherapists, sex therapists and even plastic surgeons.

Team MUTU has grown from one woman on a mission, to 12 permanent staff at its Cornish HQ, 2 in America,  a tech team in Canada and marketing agency in California, as well as a growing army of MUTU Pro-certified fitness instructors and trainers. What began as an exercise programme is now a highly engaged, body positive and supportive international community offering a trusted, safe space of education and validation.

Wendy has featured on BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour as an expert on pelvic floor exercises and is now working with NHS hospital physio departments, GP surgeries and midwives to bring home a uniquely British focus to MUTU, with the launch of mutusystem.co.uk

On 5th November, MUTU System will be sharing its new dedicated UK website with the public, allowing British mums to have a more personalised  MUTU experience.
