SCW

South, Central & West (SCW) is an NHS organisation providing support and transformation services to health and care systems, helping them achieve the best possible outcomes for people, communities and populations.

SCW’s team of 1,800+ skilled professionals provide expert support for over 200 NHS and non-NHS customers – nationally, regionally and locally; making a difference for millions of people across England.

Child Health Information Service (CHIS) is an NHS commissioned service that is responsible for collating data from healthcare professionals for children aged 0-19 into a single child health record. The data recorded in CHIS is provided by midwives, health visitors, school nurses and GPs. SCW started to provide CHIS back in 2016 in Oxfordshire and since then we have grown serving the 0-19 population of BaNES, Gloucestershire, Swindon, Wiltshire, Thames Valley, Cheshire & Merseyside. Recently as of April 2023, we have taken responsibility for Devon, Cornwall & Isles of Scilly (DCIOS), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) and Somerset after winning the tender for a five-year contract from NHS England South West.
