Cornish Lithium has been established to create a new lithium production industry in Cornwall, a mineral rich region in the South West of the UK

Numerous historical records have demonstrated the presence of lithium in solution in underground ‘hot springs’ in Cornwall. Recent advances in extraction technologies now make the extraction of lithium from such geothermal fluids a real possibility and hence Cornish Lithium believes the time is right to exploit their commercial potential.

The Management team of Cornish Lithium has extensive industry and fundraising experience and have secured agreements with various holders of mineral rights to explore for, and to commercially develop, lithium bearing brines throughout areas considered to be highly prospective. The area over which Cornish Lithium has obtained rights represents the largest unified exploration programme Cornwall has ever seen.

With demand for lithium expected to increase rapidly through its use in modern technologies, the UK government has highlighted lithium as a metal of importance to UK industry.
