Business Support Update – Sept 2026

A new season often means a new start

For many business owners and entrepreneurs, September feels like a New Year start, rather than the 1st January.

You may have been away on holiday or taken time off; you may have had to juggle childcare as the schools have been closed; you may have been working non-stop covering staff who are away on annual leave. September marks the start of a new season, and at Cornwall Innovation it is certainly going to be an exciting one!

Events

The four months at the end of the year are filled with interesting events, where we have decided to invite external businesses in, instead of keeping our events inclusive only for Cornwall Innovation clients.

This means you have the opportunity to not only connect with other businesses from all three centres, but you’ll also be meeting other local businesses, with whom you can share knowledge and collaborate together. This is a fabulous opportunity to expand your network, as in business, we know that “our network is our net worth!”

Strategy, mentoring and Coaching

If you are slightly concerned you are not on track to meet the goals you set at the start of the year, rest assured that I am here to help you. Together we can create a strategy that fits your business goals, I can keep you accountable to make sure you take the action needed, and give you a confidential sounding board to voice any concerns or thoughts you have. Of course, this can all be accompanied by a strong coffee, provided by our brilliant on-site cafés!

BUSINESS EVENTS

With a combination of industry-specific events and individual business topics, we have an incredible event every month until the year-end.

If you are interested in joining us, please sign up on our online platform Nexudus or email Rebecca: rebecca.loto@plymouth.ac.uk

As usual, these events are complimentary for all Cornwall Innovation clients (external businesses pay), with pastries, teas and coffee provided.
