Originally from the Cotswolds, Dave has worked his way down the country finally moving to Cornwall from North Somerset in 2005. He lives on a small holding with his wife and daughter along with 4 horses, 2 pigs, 2 sheep, 2 dogs, 2 cats and a number of ducks and chickens to keep them company!
Family is very important to Dave so he still likes to visit North Somerset or the Cotswolds whenever he can. However, when he’s not on the M5 he likes to spend time paddle boarding, going for walks and enjoying Cornwall together with friends.
Dave is also a keen fundraiser having survived meningitis as a child which inspired him to begin raising money for various charities from the age of 10. Since then he has jumped out planes, walked on fire, ran the Badminton Horse course, taken part in a charity calendar (yes one of those!), swam the width of the English Chanel in a swimming pool and much more!
Career-wise Dave has always worked in customer service, mainly within the travel industry. This included time working at Bristol Airport where he had the privilege to be part of the team escorting royalty, celebrities and sports stars. After relocating to Cornwall he joined the banking world but after being made redundant joined the team at Cornwall Air Ambulance and continued his love of fundraising.
